FishEye

Self-hosted network observability. It shows how a network actually behaves, hop by hop and interface by interface, and it runs on your own servers. The few outside lookups it makes are listed and can be switched off.

Who it is for

Network engineers and operators who run their own networks and want monitoring that shows where a problem is, not only that there is one, without sending their data to a vendor cloud.

What it does

  • Dashboards that give the reason

Every host on one screen, with the failing condition named on its tile: packet loss, high latency, unreachable, or no recent data.

  • Path visualisation

Continuous traceroutes from every probe, with each hop’s network operator and location, and every route change recorded.

  • Flow analysis

Flow records from routers and switches show who was talking to whom, on what port, and when. Searches can be saved as reports.

  • SNMP and optics

Template-driven SNMP polling across the estate, down to transceiver light levels, so on supported platforms a fading optic shows as a trend.

  • Endpoint telemetry

Agents on Windows machines report what the endpoint sees, alongside the network’s own view.

Access

FishEye runs on a live network every day. Its own website has the full tour and the changelog.
